We again run EFA while taking questions related to the supervisors, leadership, and innovation. Other levels of employees were not included.
Validating the statement for 2014

Based on the Kaiser criterion with cutoff of 1, we found that in the dataset the appropriate number of factors selected would be 2. The proportion of variance for ML1 (Transformational leadership style) and ML2(Consideration leadership style) is 46% and 31% in 2014.
Validating the statement for 2019

The proportion of variance for ML1 (Transformational leadership style) and ML2(Consideration leadership style) is 54% and 18% in 2019.

So, we can observe that there is considerable amount of proportion of variances for both leadership styles in both years. Hence, from both the validations for 2014 and 2019 it can be said that the statement “Australia departments recruit supervisors who have transformation and consideration styles” is still valid.
